Liverpool midfielder Naby Keita is set to make a return from injury in Liverpool's UEFA Champions League clash against Red Star Belgrade on Tuesday evening.
The Guinea international has missed the club's last four games across all competitions after picking up a hamstring injury while on international duty last month.
Keita, 23, officially joined the Reds ahead of the 2018-19 season from German Bundesliga club RP Leipzig, and made an immediate impact at Anfield.
“It was a very good start. He did a proper pre-season from the first day, played fantastic games and made a good start in the league,” Klopp told Liverpoolfc.com when asked about Keita.
“Then he had two [injury] things – in Naples and then with the national team. It was not that long, it only feels it. It was four games.
“[Sunday] was the first time in 100 per cent training so we will now have to see what we do with him for [Tuesday]. [The start] could have been a bit better, but only because of the injuries; all the rest was good.”
Liverpool beat the same opponents 4-0 in the reverse fixture, having recored victory over Paris Saint-Germain in their opening game of the group stages before defeat away to Napoli.
