Golden State Warriors extended their winning run in the National Basketball Association (NBA) on Saturday.

The Warriors secured a 116-99 win over Minnesota Timberwolves at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, USA.

They were inspired by Kevin Durant, who recorded 33 points and 13 rebounds, while his team-mate Stephen Curry contributed 28 points, nine rebounds and seven assists.

This was the defending champions' seventh consecutive win in the competition and they also remained at top of the Pacific standings.

At the Capital One Arena, Washington Wizards, who have Beninese center Ian Mahinmi on their books, succumbed to a 134-111 defeat to Oklahoma City Thunder.

Russell Westbrook was influential for Thunder as he recorded a double-double of 23 points and 12 assists.

It was the Wizards' fifth consecutive defeat in the competition and they remained fourth on South East standings.
