The EFL Championship kicks into overdrive this week, with two full sets of fixtures within the next six days – and four matches will be live on Fox Sports 1 this weekend.

First up is a midweek round of matches which sees high-flyers Sheffield United and Middlesbrough enjoy home matches on Tuesday night against Oghenekaro’s Stoke City and Semi Ajayi’s Rotherham United respectively.

Wednesday sees Leeds United looking to shrug off their recent inconsistent form – including a loss to regional rivals Blackburn Rovers this past weekend – when they host Aristote Nsiala’s Ipswich Town, while Ahmed Hegazy’s West Bromwich Albion will be at home to Frank Lampard’s Derby County.

The weekend action begins on Friday night, with a feature game live on Fox Sports 1 from 20h40 CAT as Queens Park Rangers welcome Aston Villa to Loftus Road. The visitors will look to Africans Yannick Bolasie, Jonathan Kodjia, Ahmed Elmohamady and Albert Adomah for inspiration as they chase a second successive win under caretaker coach Kevin MacDonald.

Saturday sees 11 matches played in England’s second tier – three of which will be live on Fox Sports 1. Coverage begins at 13h25 CAT with Middlesbrough, who will look to DR Congo striker Britt Assombalonga for attacking power, at home to Derby County.

The feature afternoon game on Fox Sports 1 is Bolton Wanders v Hull City from 15h55 CAT. The former, which features Sammy Ameobi, is looking for an improvement on their form and will fancy their chances against Nouha Dikco’s Tigers, who last won a game in mid-September.

Fox Sports 1’s final live EFL Championship match of the weekend comes from Elland Road at 18h25 CAT as Leeds United welcome Adlene Guedioura’s Nottingham Forest for the late kick-off.
