Conor McGregor says he will ‘maul’ Khabib Nurmagomedov when the two meet in an eagerly-anticipated UFC lightweight title fight this coming weekend.
Nurmagomedov will make the first defence of his lightweight title against McGregor at UFC 229 in Las Vegas. Coverage of the event can be viewed live on Fox Sports 2 from 04h00 CAT on Sunday 7 October.

McGregor is confident he will emerge victorious and reclaim the lightweight belt, despite the fact that his Russian opponent boasts a flawless professional record and is one of the most dominant wrestlers in the sport.
Asked how his UFC return will go down, McGregor said: “I believe KO, a devastating KO.
“I hope it's not too early, I believe I will clatter him and he will crumble. I don't think he can take a smack. I believe he has a glass chin, he's been hit but not by a sniper rifle.
“I'm going to get in this cage and maul this man, that's it.”
The Irishman added, “I don't care about rattling him from a verbal stand point, I care about rattling him with my fist and the many other weapons in my arsenal.
“Rattle this rattle that, I don't care I'm gonna rattle his brain on October 6.
“I've been tired in there, I've been everything in that damn cage. He better hope he doesn't get tired himself, he better hope the tables don't turn.
“Let's see what happens when he eats a few shots, because a man changes when he's it by me.”
