Round eight of the 2018/19 Eredivisie season will be played over the weekend of 5-7 October and sees three matches broadcast live on Fox Sports 1.
The action gets underway on Friday night at the Stadion Galgenwaard with a relegation six-pointer between hosts FC Utrecht and a NAC Breda side which features Moroccans Mounir El Allouchi and Anouar Kali in midfield. The match kicks off at 20:00 CAT and will be live on Fox Sports 1.
The pick of Saturday’s games is champions PSV Eindhoven at home to Peniel Kokou Mlapa’s VVV Venlo, while ADO Den Haag and PEC Zwolle will target home wins against Groningen and Excelsior respectively, and De Graafschap will host Heerenveen at the Stadion De Vijverberg.
The second game live on Fox Sports 1 is the early kick-off on Sunday (12:15 CAT) which sees Emmen host Amadou Ciss and Ahmed El Messaoudi’s Fortuna Sittard.
The afternoon matches see heavyweights Feyenoord looking for a win away to Willem II, while Thulani Serero and Oussama Darfalou’s Vitesse play host to Heracles at the GelreDome in Arnhem.
The round is wrapped with Ajax v AZ kicking off at 16:45 CAT and live on Fox Sports 1. The Amsterdam club will once again call on Andre Onana, Hakim Ziyech and Noussair Mazraoui for inspiration, while Alkmaar can call on Nigerian Fred Friday to boost their attack.
