Match-day six of the 2018/19 Scottish Premier League (SPL) season produced a shocking result.

Four games were played on Saturday with Aberdeen beating Burundi international Gael Birigimana's Motherwell 1-0.

Log leaders, Hearts remained at the top of the league standings despite drawing 0-0 with Livingston.

Ghanaian striker Thomas Agyepong was on the scoresheet as his side, Hibernian thrashed a hapless Dundee side 3-0.

On Sunday, the defending champions Celtic suffered a shock 2-1 defeat at the hands of DR Congolese midfielder Aaron Tshibola's Kilmarnock.

Rangers moved to second place after thumping St Johnstone 5-1 with Malian midfielder Lassana Coulibaly playing the entire game.

Match-day seven action will start on Saturday with five games taking place.

The round will be headlined by an encounter between Celtic and Aberdeen, who have been inconsistent this season.

Dundee will be searching for their first win of the season when they lock horns with Hamilton Academical.

One match is scheduled to be played on Sunday with Nigerian marksman Umar Sadiq's Rangers taking on Livingston.
