The headline bout of Fox Sports Africa Boxing 9 sees South African Rofhiwa Maemu take on compatriot Tello Dithebe in a 12-round WBA Pan Africa Featherweight Title contest at Meropa Casino & Entertainment World in Polokwane on Friday, September 21.

Both fighters weighed-in at the required weight limit of 57,15kgs on Thursday, September 20.

Maemu is currently ranked 47 in the Featherweight division and has had 25 career fights: W16 L7 D2. His most recent bout was a win over Haidari Mchanjo at Fox Sports Africa Boxing Bonanza at the Swazi Royal Spa & Casino in Mbabane in February 2018 to claim the WBA Pan Africa Featherweight Title.

Maemu hails from Venda in the Limpopo province in South Africa and had his first career fight in April 2010.

Dithebe is currently ranked 233 in the Featherweight division and has had 29 career fights: W20 L9. His most recent bout was a loss to Khanyile Bulana for the vacant South African Featherweight Title at the Orient Theatre in East London in July 2018.

Dithebe hails from Kroonstad in the Free State province of South Africa and had his first career fight in August 2007.
