Ghanaian defender Baba Rahman says he can see himself playing for parent club Chelsea in the future.
The 24-year-old is currently in his second loan spell with Bundesliga club Schalke. He has not played for the English team since the second half of the 2015/16 season.
Despite the fact that his contract with Chelsea will have just one year remaining when he completes his loan at Schalke, Rahman still believes he could make his Premier League dream come true.
“You can never say where football will guide you to. Maybe I stay for the next 10 years at Schalke but I can also imagine playing for Chelsea again,” said the Ghana left-back.
“As one of the best clubs in the world, Chelsea gives many players the chance to make their dreams come true and become better footballers.
“The club gives talented players a chance to prove themselves. At Schalke, I am now regularly in front of 60,000 spectators on the pitch, which makes me incredibly good in my development."
Rahman played no part in Schalke’s 1-1 draw with Portuguese giants Porto in the UEFA Champions League in midweek, but he will hope to see action in their weekend Bundesliga clash with Bayern Munich.
