South Sudan-born forward, Luol Deng, has officially signed a one-year deal with the National Basketball Association (NBA) franchise Minnesota Timberwolves.
The 14-year NBA veteran previously played for the Chicago Bulls, Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers and most recently the LA Lakers who he left in search of more playing minutes.
Deng has racked up 880 career games (826 starts) over the past decade. He has averaged 15.0 points on 45.5% shooting, 6.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.0 steals per game during this period.
The 33-year-old rekindles his relationship with Timberwolves boss Tom Thibodeau in Minnesota having worked under him in his time at the Bulls. Under his tutelage, Deng featured in both the 2013 and 2013 NBA All-Star Game.
His one-year deal with Minnesota is reportedly worth $2.4 million.
