England-born forward Ademola Lookman has reportedly pledged his allegiance to Nigeria despite his success at youth level for the Three Lions.
The Everton attacker, who has struggled for game time at Goodison Park since his move from Charlton Athletic last year, played an integral role in helping England's U-20 team to World Cup success in South Korea.
Despite his struggles on Merseyside thus far, Lookman enjoyed considerable success on-loan at RB Leipzig last season.
The forward joined the German Bundesliga club in January and made an immediate impact, contributing directly to nine goals in 11 games. Leipzig duly tried in vain to sign Lookman on a permanent deal in the recent transfer window.
According to Nigerian news outlet Pulse, Lookman is set to make a switch to the Super Eagles with the forward opting to represent the birth country of his parents.
"An announcement will be made soon, I'm close to his management and they have confirmed that he has made the decision," a source told Pulse.
