The 2018/19 Scottish Premier League (SPL) action will resume this weekend with struggling St Mirren hosting Celtic.

St Mirren appointed Oran Kearney as their new head coach during the current FIFA international break and the tactician is eyeing the SPL title.

"I want to win the league because the day I started [at Coleraine] I wanted titles and trophies," Kearney said on BBC.

"St Mirren, having just been promoted, obviously are not in that position at the minute. But Coleraine a few years ago weren't in that position either, so with a bit of hard work, a huge amount can be done."

The Saints will be looking to stun the defending champions Celtic at home in the first encounter of match-day five on Friday.

Five games will be played on Saturday with Nigeria international Efe Ambrose's Hibernian taking on a stubborn Kilmarnock side.

Livingston, who have recorded two successive wins in the league, are set to lock horns with Hamilton Academical.

Rangers, who lost to Celtic in the Old Firm Derby over a week ago, will be keen to return to winning ways when they face a winless Dundee side.

Current log leaders Hearts will be away to Motherwell, who have Burundi international Gael Birigimana on their books.

Lastly, Aberdeen will be desperate for a victory when they lock horns with St Johnstone away.
