Ivory Coast international Jean Michaël Seri has clinched the Premier League's official Goal of the Month award for August.
The 27-year-old's first goal for new club Fulham came in spectacular fashion in a 4-2 win for the Cottagers against Burnley at Craven Cottage last month.
Seri beat off the competition from seven other top strikes to claim the accolade with his stunning strike from range. The former Nice midfielder fired the hosts in front with only four minutes on the clock on their way to their first win of the campaign.
Having attracted strong interest from several of Europe's top club's over the past year, Seri eventually joined Fulham on their return to England's top-flight and he has made an immediate impact. He will be presented with his award on his return from national duty.
Furthermore, Tottenham Hotspur's Lucas Moura pipped Senegal international Sadio Mane to the Player of the Month award for August. Moreover, Watford boss Javi Gracia was named the Coach of the Month following the Hornets barnstorming start to the campaign.
