Crystal Palace star Wilfried Zaha is a surprise omission from Ivory Coast's squad for their 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier next month.
The Elephants travel to Kigali next week for a must win clash against Rwanda, following the country's surprise 3-2 defeat at home to Guinea in June last year.
The reason behind Zaha's omission is not quite clear, but a source told BBC Sport that the 25-year-old's absence from the squad is due to personal reasons.
Zaha has scored two goals in three English Premier League games this season, having penned a new long-term deal with the Eagles earlier this month.
Furthermore, Wilfried Bony, Seydou Doumbia, Gervinho and Yaya Toure - who last year reversed his decision to retire from international football - were also not included in Ibrahim Kamara's 23-man squad.
