The 2018/19 Eredivisie season gets underway this week, with the first round of matches kicking off on Friday night when PEC Zwolle host Herenveen at the MAC³PARK Stadion.

The action then moves to Saturday evening and features Hakim Ziyech’s Ajax hosting Heracles in Amsterdam, while the big night match – which will be screened live on Fox Sports 1 – sees defending champions PSV Eindhoven welcome Anour Kali’s Utrecht to the Philips Stadion.

PSV will be looking to bounce back to winning form after going down on penalties at the hands of Feyenoord in the Dutch Super Cup this past weekend.

The Rotterdam team will be in action on Sunday afternoon when they travel to the Stadion De Vijverberg to face De Graafschap, with their match preceded by ADO Den Haag taking on Emmen.

This clash at the Cars Jean Stadion sees Ivorian international Wilfried Kanon’s ADO looking to take three points off the promoted Emmen, and will be shown live on Fox Sports 1.

The round wraps up with Thulani Serero’s Vitesse hosting Mimoum Mahi’s Groningen, and Nigerian Fred Friday looking to fire AZ to a home win over NAC Breda at the AFAS Stadium in Alkmaar.
