RSC Anderlecht club chairman Marc Coucke has backed Ghana international Dauda Mohammed.
The 20-year-old marksman secured a move to the Belgian Pro League giants from Ghanaian Premier League side Asante Kotoko three years ago.
Mohammed was recently promoted to the first team and Coucke made it known that the young forward is his third-choice striker.
The club boss also asked Polish striker Lukasz Teodorczyk to leave.
“Teo was not great last season, but he scored important goals, without him, we would be playing European against Fola Esh," Coucke told Anderlecht online.
"Two years ago, he also made us champions, but now we want to start from scratch with a clean sheet.
Club Brugge beat Anderlecht to last season's Belgian Pro League title. They will be looking to claim the title during the 2018//19 season.
Mohammed is competing with Belgian striker Laudry Dimata, Zimbabwean forward Knowledge Musona, Croatian marksman Ivan Santini and Teodorczyk in the Anderlecht striking department.
"Dimata have the confidence and Dauda is our third striker, out of respect I can tell Teo that it is better to leave, you can not ask him to stay,” he added.
Mohammed reportedly scored 25 goals for the Anderlecht academy side last season. The talented forward also netted four times in pre-season.
