Mali international Kalifa Coulibaly is looking forward to the new 2018/19 French Ligue 1 season.
The 26-year-old striker struggled with injuries last season after joining the club from Belgian First Division A outfit Gent.
Coulibaly made only eight appearances in the league and he netted once which was against Angers SCO in May 2018.
"This season at FC Nantes is like a new start for me. I was hurt by injuries last season and did not do the preparation with the club," (translated from French) Coulibaly told the club's official website.
"I arrived quite late and I was not very good physically. This year, I feel good so my goal is to prepare well, avoid small injuries and start the championship.
"I will try to score as many goals as possible for FC Nantes," he added.
Nantes will open their 2018/19 Ligue 1 campaign against AS Monaco at their home ground, Stade de la Beaujoire on the 11th of August 2018.
"We all think about it because Monaco is going to be a good match from the start. The stage will be filled, it should be nice so it's up to us to start to build confidence," he said.
"When we started the first stage, we thought we had another month left. Now, there are only ten days left before starting our first week of competition.
"We all think about it and can not wait to start the season.
