Senegal and Liverpool attacker Sadio Mane is set to sign a new five-year deal contract ahead of the new 2018/19 English Premier League season.
The Lions of Teranga international has left many Reds fans with questions regarding his future at Anfield Stadium.
Following Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino’s five-year contract extensions, many expected to see Mane following suit.
Early reports suggest that the West African is in line to get a massive deal as manager Jurgen Klopp plans to challenge for trophies.
Having signed the likes of Brazilian duo in goalkeeper Alisson, Fabinho and Guinea’s Naby Keita in recent weeks, the move by the club shows how ambitious they really are.
Firmino penned a new deal at the end of April while Salah committed his future to the club in July, but for many Liverpool fans, the question mark over Sadio Mane's future has concerned some.
Well, according to journalist Melissa Reddy, Mane is due to follow his teammates in signing a new five-year deal.
"I know about the expectations and that is completely normal," said Klopp.
"We have the highest ambitions - 100%. (Manchester) City brought in (Riyad) Mahrez. I did not hear that they lost one player so far.
“So it means the quality of last year - plus Mahrez. That's a nice plan as well."
