Spain international Rudy Fernandez has extended his stay with European champions Real Madrid Baloncesto.
The 1.96m small forward has signed a two-year extension with the team to stay in the club until 2020.
Fernandez recently helped Baloncesto clinch the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague and Spanish ACB Liga titles.
The club has now decided to offer him a new deal which he inked ahead of the 2018/19 campaign.
"I feel very happy after having won 14 titles in seven years, now I am very happy to be able to spend two more years in the club that has given me the opportunity to achieve so much. this great club," Fernandez said.
"Real Madrid has given me many titles and the possibility of finding myself as a player and as a person, which is something that for an athlete is very important.
"I am 33 years old and I have lived many things in sports, but I think signing for Real Madrid was the best decision I could make when I got back from the NBA," he added.
"Linking with this great club gave me the opportunity to play with great players and get things that I had not achieved in my previous stage at Joventut and in the NBA.
"I have always tried to give my best in each season. The athlete always wants perfection, but it is very difficult to always be at a very high level," he continued.
"I had injuries and last year was not one of my best years, but that makes you grow as a player and get experience.
"Being able to give my best this year to the club and to the team is something I am very happy about."
