Real Madrid Baloncesto head coach Pablo Laso says they will be looking to clinch the 2017/18 Spanish Liga ACB title when they face Kirolbet Baskonia in the playoffs finals game four.
The crucial encounter is scheduled to take place at the Fernando Buesa Arena in Victoria Gasteiz, Spain on Tuesday night.
Baloncesto secured a 83-78 victory over Baskonia in game three which took place at the Fernando Buesa Arena on Sunday. Laso was pleased with how his charges performed.
“Congratulations to my team. It has been a very disputed match in many aspects. The two initial pulls of Baskonia were to a certain extent normal,” Laso told Liga ACB website.
“We had problems with the offensive rebound, but we had the feeling of keeping the match plan clear. Sensation of playing solid, not bright. Little by little we have found players who contributed and that is why I am leaving very happy for the victory.
Baloncesto will be hoping to clinch their 34th Liga ACB title, while Baskonia are eyeing their fourth trophy.
"We have clear that to win you have to be focused for 40 minutes. They have top players, it's a great team. We knew that it would be very difficult to have continuity all the time,” he continued.
“But if we were clear that there would be difficult situations, when they have hurt us with their energy. My feeling is that the team has managed to stay solid, knowing that we are playing against a great team and more at home.
"If I spoke as an amateur, I think the first 20 minutes of the second game were incredible. Of the highest level. If I extend it to the series, and as a coach, I think there are many variants, defensive and offensive,” he added.
“It is a great ending. When you reach the final of the Endesa League you have to play at the highest level if you want to win. I'm calm, because regardless of the result, we know that our ambition is to play better on Tuesday and be able to be champions.”
