Kirolbet Baskonia small forward Tornike Shengelia and point guard Luca Vildoza have reflected on their stunning win over FC Barcelona Lassa.
Baskonia progressed into the 2017/18 Spanish Liga ACB finals after defeating Barcelona 3-1 in the semi-final tie on Sunday.
Shengelia, who hails from Georgia, feels that they deserve to reach the final of Spain's elite basketball competition.
"A lot of emotion and at the same time we know that the work is not done and that we have to contain this emotion and save it for the final," Shengelia said on the official Liga ACB website.
"We are very happy and happy and especially for Vitoria, our fans and people. They deserved it after eight years and I am happy for my teammates and for this club.
"Leave me a few hours to enjoy and enjoy the game. We already know Real Madrid we know that it is the best team in Europe, they are in good shape, they are waiting for us and we have to give everything and get the most out of it. I hope we win," he continued.
"We have suffered a bit and we have had mistakes, but we have fought and gotten that character Baskonia and thank God we have taken the game."
Shengelia's team-mate Vildoza stated that they need to celebrate reaching the final after overcoming a stubborn Barcelona side.
"It seemed that we did not want to win, we have to be honest. That takes you to another kind of party, to do unthought-of things," he said.
"We knew that they played the season and thought of doing things they did not do and they surprised us, but in the end we were able to reverse them.
"We were together all the time and to feel this on my part and my teammates is something incredible," he continued.
"What a party Vitoria, hopefully! You have to celebrate these things because you do not reach an end every day and it's incredible to be here."
Baskonia will now take on the reigning EuroLeague champions Real Madrid Baloncesto in the 2017/18 Liga ACB finals.
The five-game series will start on Thursday with Baloncesto hosting Baskonia at the WiZink Center in Madrid.
