Saski Baskonia head coach Pedro Martinez says his charges should keep their feet firmly on the ground following their victory over FC Barcelona Lassa.
Baskonia secured a 86-61 win over Barcelona in the 2018 ACB Liga playoffs semi-final series game one encounter at the Fernando Buesa Arena in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain on Monday.
Speaking on ACB website, Martinez said "the players have their feet on the ground and without euphoria."
Baskonia will take on Barcelona in a game two clash at the Fernando Buesa Arena on Wednesday.
Martinez said they expect a different game on Wednesday because "anything can happen." In addition to having "maximum respect for the rival" and will not "lose it for this game."
"We have to adjust small things and see what we can improve, especially in rebound situations," admitted the coach, who stressed that his squad played "with decision" and that "there have been times" that he passed the ball well.
"The players have played with an incisive mentality," added Martinez, who revealed that they had to "try to go strong" after what happened to Real Madrid on Sunday against Herbalife Gran Canaria, and he liked that his players have left "hard" .
Despite all the Barcelona acknowledged that their victory, "may provoke" that his rival "is more motivated the next game," so they should know "that on Wednesday there is a new game and there is nothing decided."
The winner between Baskonia and Barcelona during the five-game series will take on either Herbalife Gran Canaria or Real Madrid Baloncesto in the finals.
