The club from Amsterdam seemed to be suffering a far too familiar fate with multiple stars exiting the club in July, and it was believed that the Moroccan would join the likes of club captain Matthijs De Ligt and star midfielder Frenkie De Jong, who both ended their stays in Holland over the last few months.
The contract extension provides the club with some respite as they seek to defend their Eredivisie title.
