Lille have continued their spending spree with the signing of the Turkey international from Turkish Super Lig club Trabzonspor for a reported fee of €16.5 million.
Yusuf Yazici, who was previously linked with a move to Manchester United, has signed a five-year contract at the French Ligue 1 club.
The attacking midfielder, who scored 22 goals and assisted a further 21 in 100 appearances for Trabzonspor, will wear the No. 12 jersey.
“He has great technical qualities, he has an ability to create space, a very high quality shot on goal and has a remarkable left-footed pass which will all improve our squad for the coming season,” Lille’s general manager Marc Ingla said.
Lille wasted no time in trying to fill the void left by now Arsenal winger Nicolas Pepe, signing Nigeria international Victor Osimhen while they have also been linked with Algeria’s Adam Ounas.
