The Ukraine international struggled for game-time at German Bundesliga club FC Schalke 04 last season, and duly looks set for a move away from the club.
According to Turkish newspaper Sabah, Besiktas will sign the 29-year-old for a reported fee of 3 million euros.
Konoplyanka officially joined Schalke from Spanish LaLiga side Sevilla two years ago, having made a name for himself at Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk where he scored 44 goals in 211 appearances.

He managed just one goal in 21 games across all competitions last season, in what proved a difficult campaign for the Royal Blues.
Besiktas, who have also been linked with a move for South Africa international Bongani Zungu this week, finished the 2018/19 Turkish Super Lig season in third place, four points behind eventual winners Galatasaray.
Konoplyanka has scored 21 goals in 82 appearances for Ukraine.
