Ajax Amsterdam star Donny van de Beek has dismissed rumours linking him with top European clubs.


The 22-year-old midfielder was linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid after helping the Dutch side reach in the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League semi-finals.


Former English champions Chelsea are reportedly interested in signing van de Beek when their transfer ban ends next year.

Voetbal International asked him about the interest from Chelsea and he responded, “You can forget that.”


“There is always so much on the internet,” he added.


The highly-rated player made it clear that the reports were misleading.


“You have to wonder what is true. I am not concerned about it. There are many things that are not true. It is not important,” he said.

“I have not heard anything.”


Van de Beek also helped Ajax clinch last season’s Eredivisie title ahead of runners-up PSV Eindhoven.


The lanky midfielder is a Netherlands international having made over five appearances for the national team.
