Rangers Daniel Candeias celebrates scoring

Scottish Premier League (SPL) giants Rangers FC have confirmed the departure of daniel Candeias.


The Portuguese winger has secured a move to Turkish Super Lig outfit Gençlerbirliği.


Candeias, who is a well-traveled player, spent two full seasons with Rangers.

The Gers have since announced the departure of the experienced attacker ahead of the new 2019/20 season.


“Rangers can today confirm that Daniel Candeias has left the club to join Turkish side Genclerbirligi for an undisclosed fee.”


“The 31-year-old signed for Rangers from Benfica in June 2017 and has made almost 100 appearances for the club in all competitions.”

“Candeias scored his first Ibrox goal in a 6-0 win over Dunfermline Athletic in the League Cup in August 2017.”


“Over his two-years, the Portuguese winger netted 14 competitive goals for the club and provided a number of valuable assists.”


“We thank Daniel for his time at Rangers and wish him all the best for the future,” a club statement read.
