Zion Williamson made his much anticipated debut in Las Vegas.

The No. 1 draft pick made his NBA Summer League debut against the New York Knicks in Las Vegas, but only managed one half of play before having to leave the court with a bruised left knee.

Williamson, 19, finished with 11 points and 3 rebounds, but will play no further part in the tournament.

New Orleans Pelicans Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations, David Griffin, announced on Saturday that the former Duke power forward will sit out the remainder of the summer league.

"Zion will move forward from this incident without issue,” said Griffin. “However, in an abundance of caution, we have made the determination that he will not appear in game action for the remainder of the NBA Summer League. He will continue to take part in training and conditioning with our performance team.”
