Spanish giants Real Madrid have reportedly made a formal offer for AFC Ajax midfielder Donny van de Beek.
Los Blancos are said to be assessing their options in the transfer market ahead of the 2019/20 season, having already spent big money to bring in the likes of Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic from Chelsea and Eintracht Frankfurt respectively.
The La Liga side have also been strongly linked with a move for Manchester United’s unsettled star Paul Pogba.

However, manager Zinedine Zidane and club officials are also scoping out cheaper alternatives to the World Cup winner, who may cost in the region of £150m.
According to AS, that has resulted in Real upping their interest in Van de Beek after his impressive campaign for Ajax in 2018/19.
The 22-year-old helped the Amsterdam club claim an Eredivisie and KNVB Beker (FA Cup) domestic double, as well as reaching the semifinals of the UEFA Champions League.
Ajax are said to value van de Beek somewhere in the region of £58m, making him a far more affordable prospect than Pogba.
The report adds in AS that van de Beek is currently keeping his options open at a time when he wants to continue enjoying regular first-team football.
