Rangers FC manager Steven Gerrard says the club’s squad for the 2019/20 season “isn’t finished yet”.
Gers have been busy in the transfer market during the current offseason, adding Steven Davis, Jake Hastie, Jordan Jones, George Edmundson, Sheyi Ojo, Greg Stewart and Joe Aribo.
The resulting bloated roster may need to be trimmed, but Gerrard is award of the power of depth as the Scottish club prepare for a season on which they will compete on four fronts, starting with a UEFA Europa League preliminary tie next week.

“The squad isn’t finished yet but it’s not far off,” Gerrard told the Daily Record.
“Once we get it down a bit, we hope it’ll be strong enough to compete on all fronts.
“I understand the opinion of ex-players, the media and fans saying the league is the priority.
“But come a European night at Ibrox in front of 50,000 fans, if I put a weakened side out what are people going to say about me?”
A new central defender is still on Gerrard’s shopping list after losing Joe Worrall and Gareth McAuley over the summer and only bringing in Edmundson to fill the gap.
