Dutch Eredivisie clubs Ajax Amsterdam and FC Groningen have reached an agreement for the transfer of Azor Matusiwa.
The 21-year-old midfielder had been under contract with Ajax until mid-2020.
Matusiwa, who is a Dutch player of Angolan descent, struggled for game time last season and Ajax have since decided to offload him.
Groningen's Technical director Mark-Jan Fledderus praised Matusiwa as a modern midfielder, dynamic and versatile.
“We are very happy with the arrival of Azor. He is a player who in our eyes fits very well with FC Groningen," Fledderus said.

"He is a modern midfielder, dynamic and versatile. Azor has an enormous drive and has dual power and a winning mentality.
"He has had a good education at Ajax and has shown in the last half year in Doetinchem that he can also compete in the Eredivisie," he added.
"Azor is also particularly good at playing football and we are happy that he has chosen to continue his career at FC Groningen.”
Matusiwa played one Eredivisie game for the Ajax first team.
