Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany has announced that he will leave the English Premier League champions to rejoin boyhood club, RSC Anderlecht.
Kompany, 33, enjoyed a distinguished career in City blue, playing an integral role in the club's rise in Europe, having joined the Citizens from Hamburg in 2008.

The Belgium international won four Premier League, two FA Cups, four League Cups and two Community Shields during his 11-year association with City.
Kompany's last game for the club conjured a title as City completed a domestic treble with a 6-0 thumping of Watford in the FA Cup final at Wembley on Saturday.
In total, Kompany scored 20 goals in 360 appearances for Manchester City.
