Mbaye Diagne scored two goals in five second-half stoppage-time minutes to lead the Istanbul giants to a 3-2 win over Rizespor on Saturday.
The Senegal international pulled Galatasaray ahead with a 92nd minute penalty before completing his brace in the 97th minute of the game to fire his club up to 66 points for the season, three points clear of Istanbul Basaksehir who have a game in hand.
The 27-year-old has now scored 30 goals in 28 league games this season. His goals have not gone unnoticed with several clubs from across Europe reportedly keeping close tabs on his progress.
Nigeria international Henry Onyekuru had set up Algeria's Sofiane Feghouli for the opener at Caykur Didi Stadium.
The hosts, though, pulled ahead with 15 minutes of regulation time remaining and seemingly on course to all three points, before Diagne's late show.
