PSV Eindhoven manager Mark van Bommel says the team will be without Hirving Lozano when they take on AZ Alkmaar on Sunday.
However, the reigning Dutch Eredivisie champions have been boosted by Maxi Romero's return to full fitness.
“I am happy Romero is match-fit again. I want to have as many players as possible on the training pitch," Van Bommel said.
"They have a chance to convince me they should start. It’s a shame Lozano is ruled out of Sunday’s game due to injury.
“It hugely influences the outcome of the season, Each match has its own tale to tell," he added.
"AZ need one point to finish the season in fourth place. If they had met Excelsior in round 33, it would have been an entirely different story."
Second-placed PSV are level on points with log leaders Ajax Amsterdam with two games left.
