Borussia Monchengladbach announced that they have extended reported Tottenham Hotspur target Jonas Hofmann’s contract on Tuesday.
The five-time German Bundesliga champions have extended the 26-year-old midfielder's deal by three years until 2023.
Hofmann, who was once on the books of former European champions Borussia Dortmund, deserved a contract extension according to the club's sporting director Max Eberl.
“Jonas has steadily developed into a key player at the club in his three-and-a-half years here and has played a big part in our success this season."
"We’re delighted that we will continue working together,” Eberl said.
Hofmann joined Gladbach from Dortmund in January 2016 and has made 87 competitive appearances for the Foals to date.
He has been linked with a possible move to top English side Tottenham Hotspur.
