Norwich City manager Daniel Farke says his team must “be prepared for another battle” when they face Wigan Athletic in a EFL Championship clash this afternoon.

You can see live coverage of Wigan v Norwich from the DW Stadium live on Fox Sports 1 from 12h55 CAT.

The Canaries saw their winning streak brought to an end this past midweek when they drew 2-2 at home to Reading, but they remain very much in charge at the top of the log.

“We realised [on Wednesday] how difficult it’s to play against a side who has nothing to lose against the league leaders and fighting with a knife between their teeth in order to get something out of the game,” said Farke ahead of their away match.

“On Sunday we will face a side who is in a home game so the crowd will try to help them and they have a pretty decent home record and when you regard the quality of the players also a decent side.

"They were in a pretty good position more or less during 70 percent of the season and there was a bit of a dip in results in recent weeks and for that they slipped a bit away in the table but they proved there is lots of potential and I’m pretty sure they will be desperate to get something out of this game.

“We have to be prepared for another battle and another difficult task and to be really, really respectful especially in an away game at Wigan. No task is easy and we are looking forward to having the next challenge and we are travelling full of confidence.”
