Dutch giants Feyenoord will assess their star forward Robin van Persie ahead of their clash with Heracles Almelo.
The Club of the People are scheduled to host Heracles in the Dutch Eredivisie match at the De Kuip on Sunday.
Van Persie, who played for Manchester United and Arsenal in England, missed Feyenoord's match against VVV Venlo due to an injury last weekend.
The Club of the People head coach Giovanni Van Bronckhorst has provided an update on the accomplished striker.
"Robin hasn’t been on the pitch this past week, but the expectation is that he can start this week to come," Van Bronckhorst said.
"We will see how it goes this week, particularly the last days before the match against Heracles Almelo."
Van Persie, 35, has been prolific for Feyenoord in the league this season having hit the back of the 15 times in 22 matches.
