Reigning Olympic 100m hurdles champion Brianna McNeal is looking forward to the new Diamond League season.
The first stage of the 2019 campaign will take place at the state-of-the-art Khalifa International Stadium in Doha, Qatar on 3 May.
McNeal is looking to improve on her runner-up finish from 12 months ago when she finished second to world record-holder Kendra Harrison, 12.53 to 12.58.
The 27-year-old, who hails from the United States of America (USA), is also the reigning Diamond League champion.
"I am looking forward to going to Doha for the IAAF Diamond League opener," McNeal said.
"I want to do well there because the IAAF World Athletics Championships Doha 2019 will be held at the same venue.
"It will give me and other athletes a great opportunity to assess the venue and facilities of what I am told is a superb sports venue."
Her time of 12.26 is tied as the fourth-fastest run in history.
