Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard turned back the clock with a last-minute winner for the Reds against AC Milan at Anfield on Saturday.
Gerrard featured prominently for the Liverpool Legends in a 3-2 win over Milan Glorie in aid of the LFC Foundation.
In a repeat of the 2005 and 2007 UEFA Champions League finals, Liverpool hosted their Italian opponents on Merseyside, and as is always the case when these two teams lock horns, it proved a classic.
Suitable, Gerrard popped up with the match winner in front of the Kop as he did on so many occasions during his illustrious career, to send more than 50, 000 fans into delirium.
"It's always a special time to come to Anfield, especially when it's full, and just put the kit on," former Liverpool captain and now Ranges head coach, Gerrard, told Liverpool's official website in the aftermath.
"To play against Milan with all my ex-team-mates, and to get the winner, is obviously a special feeling. Thanks to everyone for coming out and supporting all the boys.
"The lads give up their free time - they could be with their families elsewhere but they want to come here for a good cause and to entertain the supporters. Well done to all the lads," he concluded.
