Zinedine Zidane's return as head coach of Real Madrid this week has reignited rumours linking Eden Hazard with a move to the Spanish capital.
It is no secret that the Belgium international is open to leaving Chelsea in favour of a move to Los Blancos and Zidane's reappointment, following the sacking of Santiago Solari, only increases the odds of the 28-year-old leaving Stamford Bridge.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Real have made the first move in their bid to sign the talented attacker who will only has 12 months remaining on his Blues deal at the end of the current season.
The news outlet reports that Real have sent a proposal to the London club who value their star player at around £100 million. According to the above mentioned publication, Hazard will request to leave Chelsea.
Zidane won three UEFA Champions League trophies in a row before resigning five days after Real's 3-1 win over Liverpool in Kiev. The Frenchman returns to the club a mere 10 months later with Real in dire straits.
The Spanish giants have already been knocked out of both the Copa Del Rey and UEFA Champions League, and are 12 points adrift of LaLiga leaders Barcelona.
Hazard has scored 13 and assisted 11 goals in 28 English Premier League appearances for Chelsea this season.
