Lionel Messi will play for Argentina in back-to-back international friendlies this month, having ended a self-imposed hiatus.

The 31-year-old hasn't featured for the South American nation since their 2018 FIFA World Cup Round of 16 exit. La Albiceleste lost 4-3 to eventual champions France in Kazan, Russia.

Argentina will face Venezuela in Madrid on the 22nd of March before jetting off to Tangier to take on hosts Morocco four days later.

Vettel hits back at critics ahead of 2019 season

Four-time Formula One world champion Sebastian Vettel has made it clear that he has no plans to retire.

The 31-year-old driver was slammed by critics after making mistakes that contributed to Ferrari not winning the world championship last year.

Some have also called for the German star's retirement ahead of the 2019 season which will start on March 17 in Australia.

"Over the years I've gotten used to dealing with criticism, even if it's not fair," the Ferrari driver told Sport Bild.

Real target Allegri could extend Juventus deal

Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri has indicated that he could snub world champions Real Madrid and extend his stay with Italian champions.

Real have been heavily linked with Allegri after the Spanish football heavyweights were eliminated from the 2018/19 UEFA Champions League by Dutch giants Ajax Amsterdam in midweek.

The Whites will reportedly part ways with their current manager Santiago Solari at the end of the season with the team having struggled under Argentine trainer's guidance.

Italian tactician Allegri has stated that he will meet Juventus club president Andrea Agnelli to discuss the renewal of his contract with the Serie A giants.
