Fenerbahce utility player Victor Moses is among several high-profile omissions for Nigeria's back-to-back games this month.
The 28-year-old failed to make Gernot Rohr's 23-man squad to face Seychelles and Egypt. The Super Eagles, who have already qualified for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations, take on the Island nation on the 22nd before facing the AFCON hosts in a friendly international four days later.
Moses has been in good form for club side Fenerbahce, following his move from Chelsea in January.
The former Crystal Palace winger joined the Turkish Super Lig club on an 18-month loan deal after struggling for game time in London.
Moses has scored two goals in six league games for Fenerbahce since his arrival in Istanbul, including the match winner in a 3-2 victory over Rizespor last weekend.
