Ivorian midfielder Franck Kessie has hailed his AC Milan teammate Tiemoue Bakayoko, calling the Frenchman a “crazy player”.
Bakayoko, who is on loan at Milan from Chelsea, has grown into his role at the Rossoneri and has also struck up a great understanding with Kessie in the middle of the park.
The pair starred at the San Siro on Friday night as Milan eased past Empoli 3-0 to keep up their push for a place in next season’s UEFA Champions League.
"The championship is still long, we have to continue like this. When you win it's the best Milan, we have to think about playing as the coach says,” Kessie explained after the match, as quoted by Sky Sports.
"I have to do more than last year, Bakayoko is helping the team a lot and he has to keep going on that way, football is like that, when you go wrong, you whistle now but he's a crazy player.”
Kessie was on target for Milan in the victory over Empoli, brining up a fourth goal in Serie A this season.
The Ivorian will hope to feature when Gennaro Gattuso’s side face Lazio away in a Coppa Italia clash tomorrow night.
