Nigeria coach Paul Aigbogun says the Flying Eagles cannot afford to treat Niger as underdogs in their final 2019 U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Group A match on Friday.
The result between the two teams could determine their passage through to the semifinals as well as earn one of the tickets for the 2019 FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland.
Nigeria are currently topping the standings in the group, having accrued four points from their first two games, while Niger have two points after two draws.
"It's a normal game that we could not avoid. One thing we know is that Niger is a good team," Aigbogun said on All Nigeria Soccer.
"Against South Africa it was difficult despite playing well but we will work hard against Niger. We will fight to win."
The top four teams of the tournament will qualify for the 2019 FIFA U-20 World Cup in as the African representatives.
Defending champions Zambia failed to qualify for the ongoing tournament which is being hosted by Niger.
