Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp insists that “everything will be fine” with Guinea midfielder Naby Keita.
The dynamic midfielder has seen more regular game time for the Premier League leaders in recent weeks, but he has struggled to reproduce his best form.
Keita was particularly anonymous in the Reds’ 1-1 draw with Leicester City last midweek, but Klopp believes that the 23-year-old still has much to offer.
“Yeah, happy so far but still a lot to come,” Klopp said in regards to Keita’s impact on Liverpool’s 2018/19 campaign.
“Naby is an outstanding player but he still has to improve; minutes, games, language, all that stuff. Everything will be fine, and it is fine so far, but we can really expect a lot more still, that’s how it is.”
The former RB Leipzig player has made 22 appearances across all competitions this season, but has contributed with just one assist and it yet to score a goal.
Keita will hope to feature strongly for Liverpool when they play a key Premier League match away to West Ham United on Monday night.
The Reds have en exceptional recent record against the Hammers, winning their last four successive matches against the London side and scoring 16 goals in the process.
