PSV Eindhoven head coach Mark van Bommel has provided an injury update ahead of Sunday’s Dutch Eredivisie clash with Fortuna Sittard at the Philips Stadion.

The Dutch tactician indicated that the match comes too early for Hirving Lozano, who sustained a concussion against FC Groningen last weekend.

“We will take no risks on Lozano," said Van Bommel on the club's official website.

The defending Eredivisie champions have been boosted by the return of Australia internationals Aziz Behich and Trent Sainsbury, who represented their country at the recent 2019 AFC Asian Cup in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

“The Australia internationals Aziz Behich and Trent Sainsbury will join up with the senior squad after the weekend, while long-term absentee Ryan Thomas has embarked on his first running sessions," he continued.

“We strictly follow FIFA’s concussion guidelines but can confirm that he has sustained a concussion," Van Bommel added.

"He must be 100% well and will first have to return to full fitness before he can play again.”
