Egan Bernal will lead a seven-member Team Sky at the 2018 Tour of California, which begins in Long Beach on Sunday.
The 21-year-old is one of the favourites for overall victory, with this year’s route playing into his strength as a climber.
Bernal comes into the Tour of California in fine form, having been runner-up at the Tour de Romandie and winner of the Colombia Oro y Paz.
He will lead a Team Sky featuring Tao Geoghegan Hart, Sebastian Henao, Luke Rowe, Pavel Sivakov, Ian Stannard and Lukasz Wisniowski.
The British team will be chasing their first Tour of California victory since 2014 when Bradley Wiggins took overall honours.
