Former Chicago Bulls point/shooting guard Sean Kilpatrick has joined Panathinaikos OPAP Athens for the remainder of the season.
The 1.93 meters tall Kilpatrick, last played for the Bulls in the National Basketball Association (NBA) where he averaged 15.4 points, 2.8 rebounds and 1.5 assists in nine games last season.
The 29-year-old also previously plied his trade for the Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, Brooklyn Nets, Denver Nuggets and Minnesota Timberwolves.
This will be the New York-born ballers first taste of basketball in Europe and in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague.
"I've spoken to many NBA coaches about Kilpatrick. I know his college coach, he worked for me," head coach Rick Pitino is quoted as saying on Kilpatrick's arrival.
"He is an 11-star person on a 10-star scale. Hard worker. He is someone who can play a little backup 1 and give you some physicality. And certainly, he's a pro. He's somebody who carries himself with a great work ethic. He was the best choice for us the way we are right now."
