Jamie Green, who is currently signed with Audi in DTM, will test for the manufacturer's Formula E team in Marrakech later this month.
Green was announced as an Audi 2019 factory DTM driver last month. His Formula E test will be on January 13 – the day after the Marrakech E-Prix.
"It's official!" Green wrote on Twitter. "I'm back in a single seater after a very long wait. I'll drive for Audi in the 2019 FIA Formula E test in Marrakech! Save the date: January 13th."
Green is expected to work alongside Audi’s regular test and reserve driver Nico Muller, who also drove in the test that followed the Ad Diriyah season opener in Saudi Arabia in December.
Green will be driving a single-seater for the first time since December 2004, when he tested a McLaren Formula 1 car alongside Lewis Hamilton and future IndyCar driver Alex Lloyd after winning the McLaren Autosport BRDC Award two years earlier.
That appearance followed his last championship triumph, the 2004 Formula 3 Euro Series, which he won by 52 points after finishing ahead of future F1 world champions Nico Rosberg and Hamilton.
Green, 36, has spent most of his racing career in DTM and has driven for Mercedes and Audi. His best career championship performances were in the 2012, 2016 and 2017 seasons when he finished third in the drivers’ standings.
