International and European club football

The Scottish Football Association (SFA) president Alan McRae believes that Scotland have taken a step forward - but he is hopefully that they can get a good Euro 2020 draw and build momentum; and Toby Alderweireld stated that despite Tottenham Hotspur hitting their stride in the UEFA Champions League and English Premier League recent weeks, there's still more to come from the London-based side.

Premier League, EFL Championship & Scottish Premiership

Manchester United are lacking in mad dogs in midfield, manager Jose Mourinho said after his side drew 2-2 at struggling Southampton; Teemu Pukki scored his 11th league goal of the season as Norwich City came from behind to beat Rotherham 3-1 and go back to the top of the Championship; and Kilmarnock are to investigate the two power failures that caused their Scottish Premiership home fixture with Hibernian to be temporarily halted.

Ligue 1, Belgian First Division A, Eredivisie, Turkish Super Lig & MLS

Thierry Henry has criticised his Monaco players after they remained in the Ligue 1 relegation zone following a 2-1 home defeat by Montpellier; Sint-Truiden secured a 3-1 win over Antwerp in a Pro League clash; after three losses in a row, PEC Zwolle returned to winning ways in the Eredivisie with a comfortable 2-0 victory over De Graafschap; and Super Lig log leaders Istanbul Basaksehir suffered a 1-0 defeat to Sivasspor; and the St. Louis Housing, Urban Development and Zoning committee unanimously passed a resolution in support of an MLS stadium plan in the city.

Transfer rumours & gossip

Arsenal have reportedly been urged by former right-back Lauren to pounce should Anthony Martial's contract stand-off with Manchester United pave the way for him leaving Old Trafford; and Marcelo Bielsa has given a transfer update on Leeds United's goalkeeper situation amid links with Birmingham City's David Stockdale and Jonathan Bond of West Brom.
