RS Berkane overturned a two goal deficit to book their place in the final of this season’s Caf Confederations Cup with a 3-0 (3-2 on aggregate) win over CS Sfaxien at Stade Municipal de Berkane on Sunday.
With a mountain to climb following a 2-0 defeat in Sfax last weekend, Berkane got off to the perfect start in front of their home fans as Togo international Kodjo Fo-Doh Laba fired the hosts in front from the penalty spot in the eighth minute.
Omar Nemsaoui doubled Berkane’s advantage in the 19th minute before Issoufou Dayo netted the decisive third just after the half-hour mark.
Juventus of the Arabs improved following the break, but the Oranges held on to deny the their North African counterparts a fifth final in 13 years.
Berkane will face either Etoile du Sahel (Tunisia) or Zamalek (Egypt) in the final.
